Breakfasts of modern champions

Art by Anton Belardo

The first meal of the day is usually a non-negotiable thing for most people. As our parents and teachers have repeatedly said, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It reenergizes our bodies after a night of fasting and recovery. It’s impact on our overall health and mood can actually dictate whether we’ll function as a decent person or not throughout the day.

As they say, the early bird gets the worm. This may not apply to everyone, but most morning people are considered more likely to become successful people. We’re pretty sure that their breakfast plays a big role in making them who they are today. I mean what else is going to fuel them to tick everything off that to-do list? To inspire us all to wake up earlier than 11 AM, Young STAR reimagined our favorites’ breakfasts and figure out what helps them power through their busy days.

JAMES REID

A bunch of Milo mugs (because you never know how many energy gaps he’ll need to beat the day).

BARACK OBAMA

A big breakfast plate of bacon, hash browns and wheat toast with a side of hot tea and an afternoon ice cream rendezvous invitation for his BFF, Joe Biden.

CHANCE THE RAPPER

He’s starting his day with some Bible verses followed by his own Cocoa Butter Kisses verses, his red hat, and Tiny Toast Cereals.

WEIGHT LIFTING FAIRY KIM BOK JOO

Typical Korean soup, kimchi, japchae, Korean chicken bbq, and lotsa, lotsa rice to prepare her for her training later in the day.

MARIAH CAREY

She religiously stands by her Norwegian salmon and capers diet with an orange mimosa drink to wake her up. She also wears sunnies because she doesn’t like being exposed to fluorescent light.

MERYL STREEP

A really hot Starbucks order personally delivered by Andy Sachs herself and a recently bought iPad just to check in on Trump’s tweets.
