Father’s Day is right around the corner. And with everyone probably being a bit busy these days — Dad included — it’s understandable if your family hasn’t made any concrete plans yet. Between dealing with the traffic, deadlines and *cough* fake news *cough*, there’s just too much to worry about. But Father’s Day is the one time we get to celebrate the heroes of our lives, and we shouldn’t have to worry about anything else than making our fathers happy.
If you have no plans yet, well, it’s time to start making them. You should probably think of picking up a gift too, while you’re at it. Here are two events to check out over Father’s Day weekend.
Fred Perry’s Happy Fred Day
Fred Perry is back with their annual café pop-up to celebrate Father’s Day. Now in its fifth year, the café this takes us to the West Indies and Caribbean Islands, taking cues from low-key shacks, complete with ska and reggae music. Fred Perry is partnering with The Curator to introduce cocktails to its menu, with drinks like Sugar Dandy, a dark rum vermouth, and Ska-Boo-Da-Ba, a bourbon cold brew. The pop-up cafés happen from June 16 to 18 at Fred Perry boutiques in Greenbelt 5, Power Plant Mall, SM Megamall and TriNoma.
Shangri-La Plaza’s Toys for the Big Boys Lifestyle Fair
If you’ve yet to pick up a gift for your pops, well, don’t fret. Shangri-La Plaza’s ongoing Toys for the Big Boys Lifestyle Fair has got you covered. Happening until June 25, at both the mall’s East Atrium and the Shaw side of Level 1, the fair has everything from sports gear and camping equipment from The North Face, Columbia, and Pacsports; sound systems from Digital Walker and Bang & Olufsen; and even sofas from La-Z-Boy, toys, from Hobbes and Landes, and many more.
