After a long week, we all deserve a break. What better way to clear your mind than a nice bath? A good bath doesn’t only cleanse the body, but the mind too. Like baths, DIY projects are also therapeutic. That is, if you can get them right. Nobody likes seeing a deformed version of the cookie you found on Pinterest. Combining both can lead to a maximum-impact therapy session, and that sounds pretty awesome.
Here’s a quick (and easy!) bath bomb tutorial that will unleash your inner Martha Stewart.
Mix the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and epsom salt in a bowl.
In a separate container, mix together the castor oil, essential oil, food coloring, and water.
Pour your wet ingredients into the bowl with your dry ingredients. Make sure to add the liquid very slowly, not all at once. Mix well until the mixture has a thick, even consistency.
Pour your mixture into the mold.
Let it dry inside the mold overnight. If you want to use it right away, freeze it for 30 minutes. To use the bath bomb, take it out the mold, drop it into your bath, wait for it to dissolve, and enjoy.
