There’s something special about seeing a group of musician friends share a stage as they perform each other’s songs. Even better, when said musicians have a synergy that keeps the crowd thoroughly entertained. Music flows so freely that dancing and jumping up and down is much obliged. Such is the case for the Manila Tour of indie rock bands Lions and Acrobats and She’s Only Sixteen. In the words of kids these days: when will your faves ever?
Members of both bands have been longtime friends, and to see them collaborating as musicians is a treat for all. They performed together at the Red Ninja Year 10 Fest earlier this year, with a wild crowd that sang along to every song. And who would forget that Magic x Cloud mashup? I now I didn’t.
The two bands kicked off a joint tour around Metro Manila last May, and are now on the last leg of the tour. Catch them together one last time at Oto in Poblacion tonight at 7 p.m. Fingers crossed, they’d have another tour together soon, or perhaps, a new song in the works?
Tickets are limited to the bar’s capacity, so make sure to come on time so don’t miss out!
