It’s time to stop hiding from all the things that can probably go wrong during mercury retrograde. Whether or not you believe in the stars, here are some events to fill your calendar for the rest of July.
On Labor and Emancipation (July 13)
Non-profit collective Women Reply is holding a screening of Jun Robles Lana’s Mga Kuwentong Barbero (2013) in partnership with GIG from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 13. Set during the end of the Martial Law era, the film follows Marilou, a newly widowed woman who takes over the town barbershop after her husband’s sudden passing. Donna Miranda of SAKA will kick off the discussion with a short presentation, and a discussion on claiming ownership of our identity and our womanhood will follow the screening.
