Hong Kong Disneyland is kickstarting spring with ‘Carnivale of the Stars’

What’s left to say about Disneyland? The happiest place on Earth is the absolute dream address. It’s as magical as it is spectacular. There are exhilarating rides, Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles, and the added bonus of Disney songs playing wherever you go. Disneyland is more than just nostalgia — it’s pure, utter joy in theme park form.

And the only thing better than classic Disneyland is when it’s celebrating a season — think Halloween, Christmas, or better yet, spring. Hong Kong Disneyland’s ‘Carnivale of Stars’ springtime celebration is supercharged with good ‘ol Disney pixie dust: they’ve got a new Marvel attraction, new spring-themed adventures, and magical experiences across the board. From March 7 to June 26, you’re definitely in for one sweet, spectacular time.

Fun size fighting

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Some even come in ant size, which is exactly what you’ll be in Hong Kong Disneyland’s newest attraction ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!’ Get your battle on as you fight against Hydra’s Swarmbots aboard one of S.H.I.E.L.D’s combat vehicles, with Ant-Man and The Wasp by your side. It’s created in close collaboration with Marvel so you know it’s a legit Marvel experience. This immersive ride opens March 31st.

Spring is here

The beloved ‘Carnivale of Stars’ Springtime celebration returns this year, with all-new magical experiences: kick off the adventure with Mickey and friends in the Castle Hub Stage, take those precious ‘grams in the new landscaping in Fantasy Gardens (we’re told Moana and Lion King will make appearances), and say hi to Ralph Breaks The Internet’s Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope as they make their HKDR debut. Everyone will be dressed up to their springtime nines — even the park, with over 100 Disney character eggs on display and new springtime snacks, menu items, and merchandise.

Mission complete

You might as well soak the magic and stay in the park. Special season-themed perks await guests of all three Disneyland Resort hotels, like souvenir sets and Disney character appearances. Hotel guests staying between April 19 and 28 get to play in the Easter Magicarnival, a stretch of recreational activities like game booths, obstacle courses, and Disney-themed bouncy castles. They totally got us at Disney-themed bouncy castles.
