These protective cases are made with the same material found in bulletproof vests

YouTube personality Casey Neistat has always believed that gadgets are just tools that help us create. And maybe he’s right: we buy our phones to communicate with friends and to capture moments we want to remember. But there are times when these tools can fall out of place — literally. Everyone knows the pain of hearing your phone crash to the ground — especially hard when it hits hard concrete.

Casey says this in the context of being criticized by his viewers for not taking care of his gadgets. After all, he can easily afford to replace an P80,000 camera in the blink of an eye. We, on the other hand, can’t. So we need to take care of our tools just as though they are extensions of ourselves (sad, but true).
This is where iPhone third-party accessory Bodyguardz comes in. What makes it stand out is the craft and research put into each case. You won’t find any glittery (read: toxic) cases here. It’s all about protection from unexpected drops that can happen in our day-to-day lives. For example, their Ace Pro, Shock and Contact cases can survive a 10-foot drop and are designed with the same technology that athletes use on the field. The impact material even has Kevlar (as in the same material used for bulletproof vests) and Accelleron.

Granted that these cases only come in limited colors (black, gray and blue), you still have space to customize your case however you like. Think of it as a really strong canvas that can withstand all your clumsy tendencies but still looks cute doing it. Casey Neistat might think that gadgets are just tools, but it doesn’t mean that we should stop loving them as much as we do ourselves.

Bodyguardz cases are available in Digital Walker stores nationwide. For more information, follow Digital Walker on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at @digitalwalkerph.
