Tropa’s homegrown fashion will keep you in vacation mode all year long

The Philippines is a paradise for the modern vagabond. Our culture thrives on the constant conversation between our beach bum wanderlust and our affinity for all things urban. Tropa’s curation of beachwear by way of streetwear expresses this modern attitude with its tropical lifestyle clothing.

Tropa is your one stop shop for finding that seamless blend between island and city living. Selected brands such as Áraw, Eairth, Pranca, Cosi Collective, Ilog Maria and Tropa’s own in-house line revolve around the core tenets of living in a state of eternal summer and showcasing the distinct beauty and craftsmanship that’s become synonymous with Filipino fashion.

Cool collective: All your local faves are here.

Carla Sison and Borgy Manotoc’s brainchild released its debut lookbook, entitled “UNATTENDED” and photographed by Jin Kim, last July 20. The filmic photographs capture the heart of soul of the Filipino traveller: shifting to and fro between the urban jungle and tropical getaways in packs of tightly knit friends, which is what tropas are all about.

There’s this rustic charm to the lifestyle collective’s entire look, evoking feelings of breezy, youthfulness deeply rooted in our culture. In this lies the vision of Tropa, which is to provide a platform for artistic collaboration, communal experience and expression of what it means to be Filipino in these modern times.

Tropa is located at Unit 5 117 Aguirre St., Legazpi Village, Makati City, and is open from Tuesday – Saturday, 11:00 am – 8:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
